As part of his artist’s residency at Casino Display and the University of Luxembourg, artist Sam Erpelding organizes a series of events combining music, technology, and artistic research.

In the symposium on October 21st, in the afternoon, the artist and researchers César Reyes Nájera, Sebastian Döring, Enrique Mendoza, will explore the intersections between architecture, ecology, sound, and technological mediation. Their presentations will set the stage for the evening’s performative encounters.

The public is encouraged to reflect on how artistic practices can use sound to challenge our connection to the environment. The event examines how recording, transforming, and composing with natural sounds can foster new dialogues between ecology, music, and technology.

The evening also marks the opening of Sam Erpelding’s exhibition at Casino Display, inviting visitors to discover the artistic research developed during the first phase of his residency at both the University of Luxembourg and Casino Display.

The event concludes with a DJ set, a celebratory moment where the artist and public can share a drink and continue the exchange through sound.
