The Falling Walls Lab is an internationally well known public speaking event, where talented young people get the opportunity to present their research work, business model, innovative project or idea. 

Three minutes - that's the time given to participants on stage to convince a distinguished jury from academia and business.

The Falling Walls Lab Luxembourg is hosted by the University of Luxembourg and takes place on the 1 July 2015 at Campus Belval. Applications can be made through the website www.falling-walls.com/lab. The application deadline is on 7 June 2015. The Falling Walls Lab Finals will take place in Berlin the 8-9 November 2015 - the day the Berlin Wall fell. 

Awards:

  • 1st  Prize: 1.000€ plus:
    • Qualification for the Falling Walls Lab Finals in Berlin 8-9 November 2015,
    • Participation at Falling Walls Conference
    • Hotel and Travel to Berlin for 8-9 November
  • 2nd  Prize: 500€
  • 3rd  Prize: 250€

Please bear in mind that the panellists are experts from different fields including humanities, law, economics, natural sciences as well as commercial applications who will perceive your presentation as laypersons. Make sure that your presentation is oriented towards a broader audience. This requires a presentation talk at baccalaureate level.

And by the way: Dr. Jean-Luc Lehners, a Luxembourgish scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics in Potsdam, gave a fascinating talk about the Big Bang at the Falling Walls Conference 2011.

Falling Walls Foundation
